The dreadlocks were taken from Bob Marley after a performance on the British music program "Top of the Pops" in 1978. The Jamaican reggae band Bob Marley & The Wailers were there to perform their new single "Satisfy My Soul".

"I walked up and asked if I could take a piece of his hair. He nodded, laughed and seemed amused, so I broke off a piece of his dreadlocks. Then he also gave me his autograph," says the fan who is now selling the music relic at auction.

The autograph is expected to fetch around 50,000 kronor and the dreadlocks up to 300,000. This is the first time a dreadlock of the reggae icon has been sold.
