Försommarkollen, which is carried out by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and the Swedish Botanical Society, was conducted on National Day with the help of 6,000 reporters across the country.

The reports show that spring is far north this year compared to 150 years ago.

In the campaign, observations are made across the country of the blooming of small bluebell, bellflower, priest's crown, hawthorn, rowan and lilac. The blooming was also documented at the end of the 1800s and the beginning of the 1900s.

Försommarkollen is intended to investigate how climate changes affect some of our most common flowers.
