If the leading administration consisting of SD, and KD gets their proposal through at the regional board meeting on Wednesday, it will come into effect in a few days.

I cannot imagine that anyone has anything against it being paused, says Magnus Arvidsson, first vice chairman of the regional board, to SVT.

The so-called peth-tests are a blood test that shows a person's alcohol consumption over the past few weeks. The tests have been criticized after several people have testified in various media that they have had their driver's licenses revoked solely based on the tests.

We want to make sure that there are no more cases of that type, says Arvidsson.

Last year, the Transport Agency revoked around 40 driver's licenses where the reason was elevated peth values at two measurement occasions.
