The alarm about the shooting came just before midnight. Two men in their 20-25 years old were shot dead in a parking lot in the area. A third escaped. According to media reports, the shootings may be linked to a long-standing conflict between two gangs in southern and northern Biskopsgården, on Hisingen in Gothenburg.
It has been chaos the last month, real chaos. People are running back and forth all the time and screaming, I don't understand anything, says a resident in the area.
The man who wants to remain anonymous says that he has kept his son home from school because he has been worried that something might happen.
It feels like it's best to move from here, for the son's sake. It's the first time it feels like that, I've lived here for eight-nine years.
Heard shots
Elaine Elington runs a hair salon in Biskopsgården. The morning after the shooting, she cuts Elisabeth Gejer's hair. Both women have lived in the area for "40 years".
If we move, they have won, says Elington, referring to the gangs.
Both Elington and Gejer note that the police have been more present in the area lately. The activity, in general, seems to have increased in Biskopsgården, they think.
There have been many police cars, many gangs walking around, says Gejer.
She says that she heard "five-six shots" just after half past eleven, late on Monday evening.
It's obviously very unpleasant, very unpleasant when it comes so close. Right outside the house. I've never been worried about going out in the evening before.
"Very worried"
Sabina Ozuner also lives in the area. She has three boys of school age.
We are afraid to leave them alone, says she.
We couldn't sleep at all last night.
The morning after the shooting, it's relatively calm at the scene, but the police have continued a marked presence in the area.
We are very worried, and think about our children and all the other children, says Sabina Ozuner.
