The actors Birgitta Andersson, Siri Hamari and Mikael Samuelsson, the director and theatre manager Tobias Theorell, the artist and composer Thomas ”Orup” Eriksson and the author Klas Östergren all receive the Litteris et Artibus medal from the king.
Litteris et Artibus was instituted in 1853 and is awarded to individuals for "outstanding artistic achievements primarily in music, stage performance and literature".
The recipients are announced on Karl's Day, January 28. The actual award ceremony takes place at the palace on February 4.
