“The permit for our events at Ullevi has already been issued and decided. Baggage ban applies”, writes Joel Borg to Håkan Hellström-concert's organizer Rush Ent in a text message.
Hellström played at Ullevi also on Friday and Saturday and set a record audience both times. On Saturday, 73,781 people were present to see the concert.
The ban also applies to this weekend's concerts with Iron Maiden at 3 arenas, which are arranged by Live Nation, reports Svenska Dagbladet. The organizer writes to the newspaper that they are following the police's decision on baggage ban at upcoming events.
Liseberg keeps the ban
On Wednesday, Gröna Lund was informed that Wednesday's concert with Graveyard will escape the ban. To TT, the park's information manager Annika Troseslius says that they are now working to get similar permits for, among other things, Friday's concert with Veronica Maggio.
We are in dialogue with the police about this now for our upcoming concerts, she says.
But Liseberg in Gothenburg has chosen a different path, the ban will remain in place for now, writes Clara Rosendahl, press manager at the park, in an email to TT.
“This means a large logistical change for Liseberg, which we currently do not have the capacity to implement without it risking negatively affecting the guest experience (can for example create long queues),” she writes.
Rosendahl explains further that Liseberg is in close contact with the police and follows the development on an ongoing basis.
West Pride hopes
The organizer for West Pride has previously announced that a baggage ban applies to the festival area, but they hope to get a change in the permit with short notice, reports Göteborgs-Posten.
“We are in negotiations with the Police and our permit and hope so it goes fast! We are doing everything in our power to get rid of the baggage ban!”, writes Agnes Rudbo, operations manager at West Pride, in an email to the newspaper.
