Here are the 27 words that made it onto this year's list of new words. They are either completely new or have become more common during the year.

AI agent: software that autonomously performs tasks and makes decisions using artificial intelligence.

Balcony power plant: small solar cell systems that generate electricity for private use and can, for example, be placed on a balcony.

Contingency farming: cultivation of useful plants with the aim of strengthening preparedness for food shortages.
