Four people from the same family were sentenced this spring to six to ten years in prison for burglarizing the then Newcastle player Alexander Isak's home and two other homes in England.

The Swede was not home when the thieves struck in April last year. They allegedly stole a car, jewelry and valuables worth almost 900,000 kronor and cash of between 65,000 and 130,000 kronor. The car was later found abandoned, according to the AFP news agency.

In their three burglaries, the quartet – three men and a woman – are said to have come across cash or items worth around 15 million kronor (1.2 million pounds), but none of them have any major assets to repay their victims.

Three of them have no money or assets at all and are sentenced to pay one pound, which is equivalent to 12.50 kronor. One of the men is sentenced to pay the 1,135 pounds (just under 14,000 kronor).

Since the break-in, Alexander Isak has been sold to Liverpool for nearly 1.7 billion kronor – the most expensive transfer in Premier League history.
