Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is currently working mostly in a reinforced room in the basement of the Chancellery – instead of in his usual office further up in the building, reports Channel 12. The move is said to have taken place at the request of security personnel, writes The Times of Israel.
After Netanyahu's residence in Caesarea was hit in a drone attack in October, the Prime Minister is said to have told his staff that he was advised to use the better-protected room in the basement and avoid being at known "permanent locations".
The drone sent by Hezbollah in Lebanon detonated at the residence when Netanyahu himself was not present, hitting a bedroom window and causing minor damage.
The security aspect may also be the reason why government meetings have been held at different locations recently, and why Netanyahu's son's wedding appears to have been postponed.
