Bohusläns Museum is a cultural centre with time-limited exhibitions on the entrance floor. That floor also has an Art Gallery showing contemporary art and a boat hall with ordinary and leisure boats. Upstairs, the museum presents art and exhibitions about the nature and history of Bohuslän and Uddevalla. The floors offer different subjects to explore, from contemporary art and boats to the region’s nature and past.

The museum shop sells a hand-picked selection of artworks, Swedish design and products connected to the exhibitions and Bohuslän. Children can use the playroom. Restaurant Kajkanten serves organically produced food.

The museum’s website also has the Knowledge Bank, Bohuslän’s history. It is for people who want to learn how people in Bohuslän lived in different periods. The resource includes films from cultural environments and material about food, clothes, traditions, illnesses and more. The museum information describes the exhibitions and visitor facilities, while the Knowledge Bank offers another way to explore the region’s history.
