A lecture at Coompanion in Norrtälje looks at how local energy communities can produce, store, share and use energy. Energy and climate adviser Per Lesse and architect Madalina Gherghina will discuss how the idea has changed, from small shared hydro plants a century ago and wood-chip heating systems about 50 years ago to today’s shared solar, wind and modern energy systems.
The organisers say these arrangements can make better use of resources, reduce climate impact and bring economic benefits. They can also strengthen local energy preparedness during crises or power-grid disruptions. The lecture is for people interested in how communities can take more control over energy use and build more robust, sustainable local systems. It is organised by Klimatgruppen, Roslagens Naturskyddsförening and Coompanion Roslagen & Norrort.
