Simon Sorgenfrei, a scholar of religion and author, will give a lecture at Österbybruk Library about Islam in Sweden. His current book is “Öppna era hjärtan”. The lecture will also cover how immigration and integration policy have developed over the past 50 years, and how Sweden became a multi-religious country.
The author visit brings these subjects together, linking Islam in Sweden with changes in policy and religious diversity. It is for readers interested in Sorgenfrei’s book and for anyone seeking context on the history of immigration and integration in Sweden. Folkuniversitetet and Östhammar Municipality are organising the event.
