Dramaten is Sweden’s national theatre, in a Jugend-style building on the waterfront at Nybroviken bay. Visitors can see a performance or take a guided tour. The tour starts at the main entrance and goes through the marble foyer to the main stage, then behind the scenes, including the theatre’s wardrobes.
The theatre’s website says tickets are on sale for Spring 2027. Its programme announcement mentions kings, family stories, poetry, social realism and new writing. Visitors under 26 can buy an annual membership for 365 kronor (about $34.1 or £28.5), which gives access to as much theatre as they want during the year.
Visit Stockholm says the Marble Foyer, also called Marmorsalen, and its adjacent terraces are places to stop for a drink. The tour offers a look at the theatre’s interior and backstage spaces, while the foyer and terraces give visitors a place to spend time at the venue beyond a performance or tour.
