Skeppsholmen and Kastellholmen are two islands in the middle of Stockholm, joined by a bridge. Visitors can reach them on foot across Skeppsholmsbron or by public transport ferry from Slussen or Nybrokajen. The bridge makes it possible to visit both islands in one outing, and the ferry offers another way to arrive.

The islands are known for museums and attractions. Moderna Musset, the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities and Stockholm Toy Museum are on the islands. A visit can also be a walk by the water, with views of Östermalm, Djurgården, Södermalm and Gamla Stan. The islands offer museum stops alongside an outdoor route by the shore.

For a break, cafés and restaurants on the islands offer takeaway lunch. Sveskuddsparken and Kastellparken are green spaces for a pause between stops. The waterfront provides a way to see several Stockholm districts from the islands.
