Saint James's Church is in Kungsträdgården. Stockholm Diocese has owned it since 2019, while Stockholm Cathedral Parish continues some music activity and handles baptisms, weddings and funerals there. The parish history says that in 1989 Saint James's Parish had 150 church members, not enough to remain an independent parish and sustain its operations. That year, it merged with Storkyrkoförsamlingen and S:ta Clara Parish to form Stockholm Cathedral Parish. The Diocese's ownership also includes the churchyard and the former parish house.

The present arrangement separates ownership from the parish activities still held there: the Diocese owns the site, and the Cathedral Parish continues music activity and ceremonies. Wikidata gives 1643 as the year the church opened and identifies it as heritage-listed. Visitors can go for a musical event or a church ceremony when one is scheduled, but the venue information gives no visitor opening times, event dates or admission price.
