Rolfs Kök is a Stockholm restaurant built around an open kitchen. Founder Rolf wanted guests to feel welcomed into the kitchen rather than served from behind closed doors; people at the bar can watch the cooks work. The restaurant says its approach is simplicity and quality, with food served without embellishment. Restaurateur Johan Jureskog and head chef Magnus Johansson create a menu that shows seasonal flavours, using carefully selected ingredients and working as closely as possible with nearby producers. Restaurant manager Klas Ljunquist and the dining-room team suggest wines for each dish. The wine list has more than 800 wines.

Visit Stockholm says architects Jonas Bohlin and Thomas Sandell designed the restaurant’s setting, at founder Rolf’s invitation. The venue’s listed hours are Monday to Thursday 11:30 to midnight, Friday 11:30 to 01:00, Saturday 16:30 to 01:00 and Sunday 16:30 to midnight. On Monday, 2 November, it is listed as open from 11:30 to midnight. The venue says it does not take reservations by email. It asks guests bringing a stroller to email or call because space is limited.
