Harder Better Faster Stronger - Are Men OK? is now on view at Fotografiska Stockholm. The group exhibition brings together 30 artists from around the world to examine what it means to be a man today, and whether masculinity is something people are born with, learn or are expected to achieve. It will interest visitors following current debates about masculinity and identity.
Photography, film and sculpture take up subjects ranging from looksmaxxing and bar fights to paternity leave and wrestling. The works set ideals of strength against care and insecurity, and ask what happens when someone does not fit the expected mould. The exhibition also asks who benefits from these ideals, who is limited by them, and how they affect everyone.
Fotografiska says the show does not try to define what a man is or should be. Instead, its artists present masculinity as contradictory and changeable, amid debates that reach from popular culture and social media into relationships, family life and politics.

In The Machine’s Eye in Human Hands at Fotografiska Stockholm, eight artists come together, each diving deeply into AI in contemporary image-making in entirely different ways.
