Östermalm Saluhall’s guided tour is a private visit booked on request, led by Lina Bielsten, founder of Östermalm’s Saluhall Magasin and a former member of the hall’s team for 13 years. She presents its 135-year history, architectural details and traders, with stories about famous guests and a look behind the scenes. The hall reopened in 2020 after an extensive renovation.
The tour is for private groups and can be given in English. Groups can arrange food samples from selected shops, tailored to their preferences or to seasonal availability; tastings add some time. A visit usually lasts about an hour. Bielsten recommends 10 to 12 participants, with a maximum of 15. Tours depend on availability, and there are no public sessions with fixed times. The visit offers a personal introduction to a Stockholm food hall through its history, architecture and the people who trade there.
