Constantia’s 2026 sailing season has ended. The schooner’s website says winter work is now getting under way, with the vessel due to spend a longer period in dock and the work taking place at Beckholmen. People are invited to come and help.
The next listed work dates are 7–8 November, for preparations for docking, and 5–6 December, for preliminary work on the hull. Later jobs are scheduled for 30–31 January, sanding varnished surfaces and work on the masts; 20–21 February, tarring the deck; 13–14 March, rigging and painting; and 3–4 April, painting the hull and topsides and getting the ship’s boat ready for spring. The website asks people to check Constantia’s Facebook page or newsletter to confirm dates and times.
The season that has just ended included evening sails and mushroom-picking sails, as well as sailing with schools, scouts, companies and associations. The website also lists birthday celebrations and weddings. Wikidata gives Constantia’s founding or opening year as 1908 and says it is heritage-listed. The website does not describe a public visiting schedule or give the length or price of a visit.
