This self-guided quiz walk starts at the Royal Palace on Skeppsbron and finishes at the Royal Palace on Norrbro. The route is about 1.5 km and takes roughly 60 to 90 minutes, depending on your pace. The quiz has 20 questions: follow the maps, answer as you go, and check after each question whether your answer was right or wrong. Each correct answer earns one point, and you see your score at the finish.

You can play alone or compete in a team. Cityquizwalks recommends one to three people per team and mobile phone. Each team needs its own login, which costs 295 kr per team/mobile. After purchase, the buyer receives an email with a link and instructions. The webshop and email are in Swedish, so the operator advises taking a screenshot of the English instructions on the product page.

The login is for one use. You can pause during the walk, but do not log out; you have 24 hours to finish. The quiz follows the history of the small island where Stockholm was founded in the mid-13th century, according to Cityquizwalks. The site says the island’s location suited a trading city and helped protect the surrounding waters as Stockholm grew.

Good to know

Buy one login for each team and mobile phone. Open the emailed link only once, and do not log out if you take a break. Screenshot the English instructions before starting, since the webshop and email are in Swedish.
