Animo

Animo is a modern neighborhood restaurant at Kungstensgatan 9 in Stockholm. Its à la carte menu follows the seasons and, in the restaurant’s words, lets pace, feeling and creativity lead. The restaurant also has a cocktail bar and a wine list of handpicked favourites.

The menu includes oysters with horseradish cream, dill and cucumber, and vendace roe with tater tots and Västerbotten cheese. Starters include creamy egg with vongole mussels, chorizo and manchego, as well as hamachi crudo with tomato and citrus. Mains range from baked Arctic char with crab butter and red curry to confit duck and a potato dumpling filled with black trumpet mushrooms.

The menu lists milk bread at 95 SEK (about $9.50 or £7.60) and Huso Gold Imperial caviar at 595 SEK (about $59.50 or £47.60). Main courses are priced from 295 SEK (about $29.50 or £23.60) for the potato dumpling to 415 SEK (about $41.50 or £33.20) for beef tenderloin. Desserts include sorbets and espresso brûlée. The restaurant says its name means “soul” in Esperanto. It sells gift cards at the restaurant and online through its booking link.
