Akalla 4H Farm gives visitors a chance to meet common farm animals, including sheep, ponies and rabbits. The farm is in Akalla by, a village with roots in the 19th century beside Järvafältet nature reserve. The farm says its animals are in their pens every day of the year, roughly from 8:30am to 3pm. You can see the animals during those hours; book a guided tour to get closer. Visit Stockholm says 4H activities follow the motto “learning by doing”, with children tending to and feeding farm animals. Visitors can come simply to meet the animals or sign up for a course or day camp. In the village, visitors will also find a café, ceramics workshop, minigolf course, playground, barbecue area and splash pool. 4H is a non-profit organization founded in the United States and now active in more than 80 countries, according to Visit Stockholm.
