Garphyttan National Park offers walks through flowering areas, open meadows and deciduous and coniferous woodland. Traces of cultivated land used over time remain in the area. The park describes birdsong as part of the experience, especially in spring.

At the centre is the old farmstead site of Östra gården, where open cultivated land remains. The park says plants and animals typical of older farmed meadows occur there. Coniferous forest surrounds this core and is being allowed to develop freely into natural forest. Old and dead trees are left in place, providing a habitat where rare plants and animals thrive, according to the park.

A visit can be as short as a coffee break among flowers and birdsong, or consist of shorter or longer walks through the different types of nature. The park identifies its forest and flowering meadows as central parts of a visit. Its open cultivated ground and surrounding forest offer different settings for a walk. Garphyttan National Park was founded in 1909, according to Wikidata.
