Dalby Söderskog is a 36-hectare national park in Skåne, founded in 1918. The park website describes it as Sweden’s smallest national park. It preserves southern Swedish deciduous woodland in a state close to unchanged, with mixed deciduous forest and beech woods. Visitors can explore the park on marked hiking trails.
The woodland changes through the year. The park is known for spring flowering, including wood anemones and yellow anemones. Hålnunneört is named as the park’s special flower and blooms in spring too. The website also describes summer greenery and birdlife. Dalby Söderskog has been both woodland and tree-covered pasture, and the park contains traces of its use as grazing land. At the start of the 20th century, the area had tall oak and beech forest.
The park’s description points visitors towards its marked routes and seasonal plant life. It describes a woodland that has changed over time, with mixed deciduous forest, beech woods and traces of pasture use. The website does not state an admission charge or a recommended visit length.
