Arbetarmuseet Gråbo is housed in a building built around 1870 as accommodation for workers at Bofors works in Karlskoga. At its busiest, nine families, about 50 to 60 people, lived there at once. The museum’s three upstairs flats are arranged to show domestic life in 1885, 1918 and 1942.

Visitors can book a guided visit, offered to schools, private visitors and organisations. The rooms follow changes in household life, from a wood-burning stove and a household pig to electricity and running water. The museum says the apartments are arranged to feel as if the families have stepped out briefly.

The museum is open year-round for booked school and group tours. The venue says other opening times outside the season are tied to events in its calendar; Visit Sweden says Gråbo opens on summer weekends and year-round for booked tours. In November, arrange a booked visit or check the events calendar for other opening times.
