Vrå is one of the two restaurants at Clarion Hotel Post. Its cooking draws on Japanese cuisine, but the restaurant describes its approach as a modern interpretation in which Nordic flavours and techniques have as much place as classic Japanese influences. The menu goes beyond traditional sushi, with texture, balance and precision at its centre.

The ingredients are carefully selected and largely locally produced. Vrå gives particular attention to seasonal ingredients and sustainably caught fish, bringing together Japanese methods and the food of Sweden’s west coast. The restaurant’s menu is the main reason to visit: it offers creative dishes shaped by that combination rather than focusing on traditional sushi alone.

Sofia B. Olsson has been a driving force at Vrå as chef and operations manager since it opened in 2012. She has received several awards for her cooking, leadership and work to make the restaurant industry more inclusive and encourage the next generation of chefs. Vrå and Clarion Hotel Post both hold the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, the official ecolabel of the Nordic countries.
