Maska Studio is Maska’s shop at Fjärde Långgatan 6 in Gothenburg. This week, the listed opening is Wednesday, 12:00 to 17:00. Visits on other days can be arranged by email at shop@maska.se.

Since 2009, Maska has made garments in natural materials such as mohair, wool and cashmere. Its collection mainly consists of knitted jumpers and cardigans, with woven shirts, trousers and coats. Maska says its garments reflect Scandinavian design philosophy and long textile traditions, and are made to feel timeless and last, with environmental responsibility at heart.

The studio shop carries selected pieces from the collection for visitors to see, feel and try. Its range also includes selected sample-sale pieces, limited sizes and collaborations with designers who share Maska’s stated values of sustainability, material knowledge and timeless design. The shop offers repairs for Maska garments, as part of the brand’s commitment to circular thinking and sustainable consumption.

Maska began in Borås. Founder Maria Svensson spent much of her childhood in a sewing workshop started by her great-grandmother, an experience that laid the foundation for her interest in textiles and her own brand. Maska is now sold in more than 70 stores around the world.
