Växbo Lin’s factory in Växbo is open to visitors during the factory’s opening hours. Visitors can follow a self-guided route through the weaving mill. The company also offers guided tours that must be booked before a visit. The tour explains how production works today, from flax yarn to finished linen, and takes about 20 minutes. It ends in the factory shop, where visitors can browse linen textiles in first- and second-quality sorting.
Växbo’s linen history is also visible in Trolldalen, where small flax sheds and workshops bear witness to local use of hydropower in flax production. Visit Sweden describes Växbo as having some of the best-preserved sites from the heyday of flax and linen production. Växbo Lin was founded on this cultural heritage site in 1989. Production initially centred on a spinnery; the company began weaving a few years later. Today, the guided visit focuses on how production works, and all Växbo Lin products consist of 100% linen.
