The state funeral of USA's former president Jimmy Carter is being held on Thursday in Washington DC – and all the country's former or current presidents who are alive are in attendance. Among others, USA's incoming president Donald Trump and Barack Obama, who was president between 2009-2017, are sitting next to each other.

Six days of honors preceding the state funeral of the USA's former president Jimmy Carter have begun with a coffin procession to Carter's birthplace Plains in the state of Georgia. Mourners with flags, banners, and handmade signs gathered along the procession route.
