A record number of wolves were shot in self-defense last year
Last year, twelve wolves were shot in self-defense after domestic animals were threatened or attacked, which is the highest figure since 2013 according to statistics from the Environmental Protection Agency. In eight of the twelve cases, the wolf was shot in connection with hunting with unleashed dogs.
