New Old Government in Ireland

Ireland's two traditional major parties, the right-liberal Fianna Fáil and the conservative Fine Gael, will continue in government – but now with a group of independent members as the third party instead of the Green Party, reports news agency AFP. The agreement, which is expected to be formally finalized on January 22, means a continuation of the rotation of the position of Taoiseach – Prime Minister – that the parties have used in recent years.
