US withdraws last troops from Iraq, leaving Kurdish region vulnerable
After a couple of decades of chaotic war and fighting against jihadists, the US is bringing home the last remaining soldiers from Iraq. There are still many powerful Shia militias in the country with close ties to Iran. Kurds in the north fear they are being left vulnerable.
