Syrian rebel leader confirms that Homs has been captured

A leader of the Islamist rebel movement, commander Abd al-Ghani, confirms that opposition forces have taken the Syrian metropolis Homs, and calls the event "historic". The commander says that the rebels have opened the gates of the city's prison.
