Istanbul Mayor Imamoglu Named Opposition Presidential Candidate

Istanbul's imprisoned mayor Ekrem Imamoglu has been formally appointed as the opposition's presidential candidate, the CHP party's spokesperson announced according to AFP. More than 1,100 people have been detained since he was arrested last week.
