Bakeries in Gaza Resume Bread Production Amid Conflict
A small number of bakeries been able to start baking and distributing bread in war-torn Gaza, announces the UN's food program (WFP). At least 29 children have died of starvation-related causes in Gaza in recent days, according to information from the Palestinian Authority's Health Minister Majed Abu Ramadan.
Arab League Urges Ceasefire and Aid for Gaza Reconstruction
The situation in Gaza dominated the Arab League's meeting in Baghdad. In a joint statement, the countries demand that the international community puts pressure on the parties to "stop the bloodshed" and contributes to paying for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip after the war.
The Minister: Israel has a damned responsibility
Minister for Development Cooperation Benjamin Dousa (M) has visited Palestinian areas and demands that more supplies are allowed through to Gaza. Israel as an occupying power has a damned responsibility to also follow international law, he says.
