Since midnight, seven people in Luleå have been taken into custody under the Act on the Care of Intoxicated Persons (LOB). Two of them were handed over to relatives. Two people in Kiruna have also been taken into custody under LOB, one of whom is suspected of a minor drug offence. One person in Piteå has also been taken into custody for public intoxication.

Police are alerted to a fire in a villa in Kalix. One person, an elderly man, is found dead in the house. Relatives have been informed.
The cause of the fire is unclear but will be investigated. A report of arson has been filed and the scene will be cordoned off for a technical examination.

Police are dispatched to a bar in the city centre where a young woman has become aggressive. The woman is suspected of assaulting staff and a security guard. She is taken into custody under the Act on the Care of Intoxicated Persons (LOB). Reports are filed concerning assault, violence against a public servant, molestation and a minor drug offence through personal use.
