Police and ambulance were alerted on Sunday morning to a restaurant in central Västerås.

There is suspected a man in his early twenties to have assaulted a woman in her early twenties with a blunt instrument, and a man in his early twenties without a blunt instrument.

The suspect is apprehended and a report is written on aggravated assault and assault.

Later in the morning, the man is held by a prosecutor.

The two victims are taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
