The woman was called by a person who claimed to be from the police. The person informed her that, due to thefts in the area, they would come to her and take care of her valuables so that they would not be stolen. A person later showed up and collected the woman's valuables. Later in the afternoon, several elderly people were targeted in the same way in Karlstad, resulting in two additional completed crimes. The police want to receive observations regarding these crimes. If you have information, films, or photos of people you suspect have behaved suspiciously, contact the police on phone 114 14, stating "tips" in the response. If you are called by someone claiming to be a police officer, hang up and immediately call 112 for verification.
