Early in Monday morning, alarm about a fire in a villa on Stora Essingen arrived. No person was injured in the fire, but the villa suffered significant material damage. The days before the villa fire, reports of other fires on the island were made. 

The police have conducted extensive investigative activities and a significant information gathering in the cases. During the work, information has come to light that has made a person stand out as particularly interesting for the investigation. That person has therefore been detained.

The police's investigation of the fires continues. The investigation is led by a prosecutor.
