Police alarm sounded in the eastern parts of Köping due to a traffic accident where a person was hit by a car.

The person who was hit is taken to hospital by ambulance, unclear extent of injury.

The driver, a man in his early twenties, is apprehended on the spot and an investigation regarding assault has been initiated.

The car is seized for a technical examination.

The case is led by a prosecutor.
