17:47 Police and ambulance were alerted to Katrineholm Railway Station due to an assault outdoors. A 45-year-old man is said to have been injured in the arm with a sharp object.

17:54 When the police patrol arrived at the scene, no suspected perpetrator was present. 

18:09 The complainant has been taken to hospital by ambulance. Awake and able to speak. Initially not life-threateningly injured. 

18:41 Police have spoken with witnesses, reviewed cameras, and cordoned off a crime scene for a forensic examination. There is no arrested or suspected person in the case at present.

19:20 The legal situation is attempted murder.
