Police regional command center has handled around 60 cases related to Jönköping County during the night between 22:00 and 07:00.

Suspected break-in attempt at villa
Around 22:45, the police were alerted by the public after someone discovered that several people had attempted to break open a balcony door in Ljungarum, Jönköping. The individuals, however, had left the scene after being discovered. Police have been out with several units to search for the individuals, but no one has been found. Information has been gathered and a report has been filed regarding an attempted theft. 

Fire in central Jönköping
Shortly before 01:00, SOS was alerted about a fire that had broken out in a building on Kapellgatan in central Väster, Jönköping. Several members of the public have reported the incident. Initially, information indicated that there was smoke coming from an inner courtyard – later it became clear that it was a fairly intense fire at the scene. After the fire department arrived and investigated the scene after extinguishing the fire, it became clear that the fire had started in some form of restaurant. It cannot be ruled out that the fire was caused by a crime. The incident is classified as arson and the police have cordoned off the fire scene. Technicians will be sent out to investigate the scene during the day. There are currently no suspected individuals in the case. 

Police have also handled cases related to mental health, among other things, and have conducted various routine checks on their own initiative or after receiving reports from the public.
