The police have handled a hundred of events in Östergötland county between 22:00 and 07:00.

The traffic situation during the night has been good, no traffic accidents have occurred (except for the one mentioned below) which have become a police concern, as well as a reported wild animal accident (elk) without personal injuries.

04:07 Fire - Linköping

A fire alarm was received from a store in Linköping. The police went to the scene and were quickly able to apprehend a 25-year-old man nearby who is suspected of having set the fire. The man had ignited a flammable liquid, but the fire had not taken hold and had not spread. The legal situation is attempted arson. The police have investigated the crime scene and the roadblocks have been removed.

06:36 Traffic accident - Linköping

Two passenger cars collided, a side collision, on road 35 near Bankekind. Three people were in the vehicles. The traffic disruption was significant at the scene, both vehicles were destroyed and had to be towed away. Rescue services and police were working. No one was initially reported to be seriously injured.

07:27 Work continues at the scene. One person has been taken to the hospital. The injury situation of this person is unclear.

07:54 One of the drivers received a fine for not observing the right of way.
