The police have been alerted to several elderly care homes in Mölndals municipality on Tuesday, where residents are suspected of being exposed to attempted break-in theft.
It is about at least three residences, where the perpetrators are described as women in their mid-twenties. By claiming that they have a matter at the residence, the perpetrators are said to have entered a couple of residential rooms and searched for valuables. The theft attempts are, however, said to have been interrupted when staff were called in.
The police have filed a report on attempted break-in theft in two cases and are investigating a connection between the incidents. We urge increased vigilance if unknown people show up at this type of residence and cooperate with the municipalities of Mölndal and Gothenburg in a crime-preventing purpose.
