Driving a car with alcohol or drugs in the body is one of the most common causes of serious accidents in traffic. Between June 8 and 14, the police therefore conduct extra sobriety checks.

Below are the results from some of the morning traffic checks in the county:

Sobriety checks were conducted on county road 814 at Lund, Skellefteå municipality, and all were without remarks. There were also two vehicle inspections conducted there, and in both cases fines were issued due to poor tires.

All who passed the sobriety checks on Norra Obbolavägen near Degernäs, Umeå municipality, were without remarks.

All who passed the sobriety checks in Byske, Skellefteå municipality, were without remarks.

A fine for disorderly conduct was issued to a driver in Skellefteå city center because the seatbelt was not used during the journey.
