Driving a car with alcohol or drugs in the body is one of the most common causes of serious accidents in traffic. Between June 8 and 14, the police therefore conduct extra sobriety checks.

Below are the results from some of the traffic checks carried out in Norrbotten after 12 o'clock today:

On county road 873 in Kiruna, sobriety and vehicles were checked. There are no noted remarks.

In Töre, Kalix municipality, two fines were issued due to speed violations. Sobriety was also checked, and all checked were without remarks.

In central Kiruna, sobriety was checked, and all checked were without remarks. At one of the checks, a fine was issued to a driver who did not use a seatbelt during the journey.

All who were checked in Öjebyn, Piteå, were without remarks.
