Driving a car with alcohol or drugs in the body is one of the most common causes of serious accidents on the road. Between June 8 and 14, the police therefore conduct extra sobriety checks.

Here are the results from some of the morning traffic checks in Norrbotten:

On E10 in Kiruna, a sobriety check was conducted with the result being without comment for all who were checked.

At a check in Luleå, a driver blew positive, but at further sampling, the result was below the punishable limit.

All who passed the sobriety check at two locations in Strömnäs, Piteå were without comment. One check was conducted at a school.

On Prästholmen in Boden, four fines were issued due to speeding offenses.

All who passed the traffic check on Storgatan in central Arvidsjaur were without comment.

All who passed the sobriety check on county road 705 in Rolfs, Kalix, were without comment.

All who passed the sobriety check in central Piteå were without comment.
