July 15 16.49, Murder/homicide, Attempt, Karlstad

At 16.49 on Tuesday, the police were alerted that a serious violent crime had occurred in Karlstad, where a larger operation was initiated. 
As a result of this, a woman has been apprehended suspected of attempted murder of a minor victim. 
The victim is awake and able to speak, but exposed to a life-threatening act – hence the classification.
This is an isolated incident and the parties involved know each other. 
The crime occurred indoors and the location has been cordoned off for technical examination. Several investigative measures have been taken, such as interrogations and forensic examination. After a decision by the prosecutor, the woman is now being held in custody. We cannot provide any further information at this time as the investigation is in its early stages.
