A man is suspected of a crime after a check at Gummifabriken.
A priority task for the police is to be present at places where the local population wishes us to be. An example of this is at the Rubber Factory in Värnamo.
During Tuesday afternoon, a patrol drove around near the Rubber Factory. Around 4 pm, the patrol saw a man on a parking lot talking to girls in a tractor. The patrol drove up, and the man acted nervously. This caught the patrol's interest, which then made a personal check of the man.
The check resulted in the police now suspecting that the man tried to sell e-cigarettes, so-called "vapes", to minors. The man also had a knife in his vehicle.
The man is suspected of violating the tobacco laws as well as the knife laws after the incident.
