During week 7, Monday through Thursday, the police together with, among other things, rescue services and ambulances will be conducting a training exercise in the area around Linköping University. The exercise will be extensive and take place both indoors and outdoors.

There will be a high police presence in the form of various competencies, with different types of uniforms. There will also be fire trucks and ambulances on site. This may look dramatic, and sound dramatic, for example, with something that sounds like gunfire. It is exclusively a training exercise. There is therefore no danger to the public.

The area will be clearly signposted with "exercise".

The police, rescue services, and SOS are training together on a regular basis to be able to strengthen their competence in the event of an acute situation. The exercise is part of the general competence development, but also to strengthen the cooperation between the participating actors. This is the fifth year that the exercise is being conducted in this format.

In order for the exercise to be as authentic as possible, we do not have the opportunity to invite spectators or media to the exercise this time.
